BENEFITS OF ASEI MEMBERSHIP
ASEI seeks to attract a wide range of professionals with diverse backgrounds to share their network and knowledge with other members. ASEI offers value to young and highly experienced professionals. Students and young professionals can benefit by tapping into a diverse and highly knowledgeable network. They can be mentored by senior members in areas of career guidance, leadership development, and business/entrepreneurship guidance. ASEI also offers student scholarships and a variety of awards. The more experienced professionals have the opportunity to mentor and shape future professionals in the field of engineering and other sciences. ASEI also provides a platform for giving back to society through local and international community service activities.
Overall all members benefit through various opportunities in networking, mentoring, community service, local internships/jobs, and technology exchange programs.
ASEI MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENT
Any Engineer, Architect or Professional in the Allied field (including fields of all natural sciences and information technology) of Indian origin of good professional standing shall be eligible to become a member of the Society. The eligibility of the membership admission shall be as defined in the bylaws.
MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
There shall be six categories of members, as follows:
1. Regular Member: Shall be one who meets the above requirements and pays the dues annually
2. Associate Member: Shall be one who belongs to any profession other than Engineering or Architecture and has shown interest in the Society’s activities and pays membership dues. The associate member shall be recommended by a regular member and application reviewed by the Board of Directors.
3. Student Member: Shall be the one who is studying in an accredited institute to be an engineer, architect or allied professional
4. Life Member: Shall be one who meets the above requirements and paid one time life membership due
5. Corporate Member: Shall be any corporation that employs engineers, architects or allied professionals and pays dues annually
6. Honorary Member: Shall be one who, because of his/her outstanding contribution to the Society, has been selected by the Board of Directors to become an honorary member of the Society. He/she shall be exempt of dues.
